My sis has a 2.5 yo DS and just had a baby DD. She is looking for a double that is easy to push. I suggested the Mac Double Techno but they tried some kind of Mac at BRU and said he feet were almost past the foot rest, and his head was hitting the top of the stroller back. At the moment she's trying to find a Revolution Duaille to try. I also suggested a P&T but I don't know what the current twin model is called.

Any suggestions? It's been a few years since I've actively shopped for any kind of stroller.

Re: Mac Techno, that does not sound right. Maclarens can accommodate 4-5 year olds. Yes, they might have to bend their legs a little, which is normal. Was the canopy on the Mac raised all the way up (they are adjustable)? A Bob would be a bad choice for a tall kid. Many 2.5 yos do not fit in them. I would look at double Maclarens, Baby Joggers (other than the BJCMD or the Select) or a Valco Twin Trimode. IME, those accommodate tall kiddos the best.

I thought the same about the Mac Techno! I *think* her DS is the same height as Dora. I should try her tomorrow in mine. My sis said that her DS fit in the Mac, but his head was touching the top of the stroller back. So not the canopy, but the back of the stroller. As for the foot rest, I didn't think it was a big deal for kids to bend their legs a little. Don't they all end up doing that? Her current stroller is a Bumbleride something, and she said DS's feet already dangle past the footrest. Do most kids end up with the legs more propped after a certain age, kinda like if they kept rfing in the carseat?

Why is a BOB bad for a tall kid? I thought most joggers were made for bigger kids. Is the back not that tall? We have an Ironman Duaille and it seems fine for Dora. She's about 37 inches tall.

My sis said that her DS fit in the Mac, but his head was touching the top of the stroller back. So not the canopy, but the back of the stroller. My 41 inch tall DS has tons of room before he hits the canopy of our Mac Triumph in the highest setting. I think his head does reach the top of the seat. I would have her try one again with the canopy all the way up.

As for the foot rest, I didn't think it was a big deal for kids to bend their legs a little. Don't they all end up doing that? Yes, although my DS does still have room for his legs to be pretty straight in our BJCCD.

Bob Revos have short seatbacks so their heads touch the canopy pretty quickly and they look scrunched up in there. In terms of jogging strollers, the Valco Twin Trimode, the BJCED and the BJSummit have a lot more headroom because they have taller seatbacks. I have not looked at an ironman closely so I do not know whether those are more roomy.
