We need a car stroller--for errands, but one that will fit in our trunk on vacations, as well. We have a Vista, which is great, but we've never been able to have a stroller when we travel as it takes up our entire trunk space. With a suitcase and LO PNP, there's not much space left over. Any suggestions of something that folds up compactly? Also, I've heard that umbrella strollers with a hard back on better than the hamocky types, what do you think? LO is almost 1 (well, will be by the time we get the stroller and start using it). Would like to spend under $100--maybe less.

I'm also debating this: We're also going to WDW later this year. I'm thinking of buying a cheap $30 or so stroller off craigslist to take (flying) and then if it gets stollen I'm not out too much. And then buying a better stroller for our car--still less than $100, though. Or should I just buy 1 and take it to WDW? I'm worried if I buy a better one and take it it'll disappear at WDW. WWYD? The stroller for WDW needs to have a decent basket, too. Recommendations?

Maclaren Triumph. Awesome for travel and the car. We can always fit ours in the car no matter how jammed-packed the car is. :)

I'm in the same situation with a 14 month old. I have a Vista (which I love) but am going to be traveling this summer and going to Sea World - a lot!
I don't want to spend over $100 and under would be much better.
I found The First Years Ignite Stroller, it retails for $59.99. The only problem is it's new so there are no reviews from this board, but the reviews on Amazon look good.
I just didn't want to spend the extra money for a Mac, or the UppaBaby G-Luxe.

I love my Mac Volo - it is my travel/summer stroller. I have used it at Disney for 4 trips and counting.

I'd recommend a Mac. Look for a used triumph, (maybe volo or whatever you can find). They hold up really well, so it's ok to buy used. Just see if the wheels are not too worn out: some older macs will have wheels that are worn more on one side than the other, like your shoe soles KWIM? but if there just signs of regular use, it's all ok.
Also, seat fabric can be removed and washed, so your used mac will look really good.

Thanks. But used Macs are REALLY hard to find in my area. I think I've only seen 1 on Craigslist here--ever. So any other suggestions? I really need to spend under $100.

Thanks

Just thought I'd give you an update. My First Years Ignite Stroller arrived this afternoon. I only got to take my dd out for a VERY short stroll, but I loved it! I have only been using the Vista until now so I was really worried about switching to an inexpensive, small stroller.
Even my husband took it out for a spin. He took it right over our gravel in the front yard to see how it handled. Not bad for going over rocks!
I would really suggest this stroller for you to use.

I bought this because we'll be spending a lot of time driving back and forth to the beach this summer and wouldn't have room for the Vista.

Sure, I miss the window to see my dd and the shade is the same size as most other umbrella strollers (not huge) but it has a great one handed push, reclines and the wheels are bigger than most other umbrella strollers 6".
Plus, at 59.99 I couldn't find one with as many features.

Have you tried ebay for Macs? I purchased a Triumph (NIB) for a very low price. It was just an older model.

Got my Silver Cross Fizz on shnoop.com for $69.99 shipped. It's a great car/travel stroller. Super lightweight, folds small, comes with a rain shield, reversible seat cover, etc. Love it!

FYI - the first years (www.learningcurve.com) is offering 25% off site wide this week with code MOMROCKS. I believe it's through tomorrow or Saturday.
I know nothing about the stroller but you could get it for a pretty good deal at 25% off. Or you could have diapers.com pricematch it, stroll it around the house and return it for free if you don't like it. Use bing for an additional 10% back.

Personally, I :heartbeat: my Triumph. Babyproductstore on ebay is the mac outlet - they often have Triumphs for about $120 BIN - you could get 8% back using bing, bringing you to just a little above $100 - and if you figure in the resale, you'll come out ahead. But I understand about not being able to spend that much...

Or the fizz seems like a good option as well! My friend also has a Chicco Capri that she got at BRUS for $40 using a 20% off coupon that she is quite happy with.
HTH!

Not sure if you made your purchase yet, but right now diapers.com has 30% off Inglesinas. A Swift might be a good option - I've heard good things about it and it falls in between a Triumph and a Quest. With the 30% off, it's $84 I believe. With 10% back from bing, it would be about $78.
