I'm such a dope, a little starstruck!

So the Producer/Director of movies such as Home Alone, Harry Potter, Bicentennial Man and Mrs. Doubtfire is in my neighborhood with his family right now, his Dad lives here and they are visiting! Chris Columbus, they are very nice and very down to earth...kinda unusual for someone who has that much money! They are here for the Harry Potter theme park grand opening at Universal Orlando this weekend!
I am a little starstruck!

Totally understand. My neighbor's brother has been in several films over the last 10 years - nothing as a headliner, but he still pops up in TV comedies and feature films. I know this. She talks about it and makes a point of going to his shows, but shoot when he and his family show up for things like his nephew's graduation party I still get star struck.

I remember him as the guy who did those not-great first Harry Potter movies, but then I looked him up- he wrote Gremlins AND The Goonies! I'm now starstruck on your behalf too.
