I just got an iPad and I love it! I have been downloading apps in my free time. Please share with me your favorite apps. Also, does baby bargains have an app? I did not see one.

my hands down favorite is Words with Friends (it's scrabble), the free version. I spend all my itouch time on this completely addictive game, and venture to other apps when i am waiting for friends to make moves. :)
the whole family likes Bejeweled. totally worth the $2 or however much it was.
DH and DD like Angry Birds (the free version), Goal!
i like Line Up, and vocabulary bubble.
dd and i both like Scramble (it's like boggle), WOrd Jong, what's the difference, and star walk.
i have TONS of apps, but those are the ones we use most.
Since i have itouch and am only connceted at home (no wifi at target or costco lol) i don't have many apps that require internet. if i need to check the board or the weather or the movie listings, i just use my laptop. there are tons of good apps that use internet though, like NY Times, Red Laser, shazam, looking up local restaurants/movies, etc.

I have an iphone, not an ipad.
I like Plants Vs. Zombies, The Creeps, Bejeweled 2, Angry Birds, Pandora, Facebook, Hipstamatic (not sure if on ipad). DS (6) likes the above mentioned games. DD (4) plays Flick Fishing, Itsy Bitsy, Teach Me Kindergarten, Monkey Lunchbox, Olivia, Cupcakes, and Dog Party (Martha Speaks).

Love my Twitter app (I like Twitbird the best - but Twittelator is good too). I mainly just use it for news updates and other things that interest me - I don't tweet. But it's super handy.
iBook, of course
Kindle, because the Amazon library is bigger
Weatherbug
Calculator
Scramble
Baby sign (the video one, free version)

Bill or anyone else: do you have a favorite instant messaging app? I use windows messenger for work, and would love to be able to use it on my iPhone.
Also, anyone have an app to track one's hours? I work part-time, and it would be great to be able to record when I clock in and out, to keep track of my hours.
OP, sorry to hijack!

I just have an iPod Touch. I do not have internet connection all the time, so a lot of my fav apps are somewhat based on the fact that they need to be stand-alone apps too.
If you are looking for productivity related apps, these are my favorites:
ReaddleDocs - has a built-in browser, so you can save the pdf's directly into your iPT/iPhone.
Read It Later - set up a bookmarklet inside mobile safari, mark the webpage you don't have time to read. save it. load it in Read It Later and put it away. take it out to read when you have the time.
OffMaps - offline maps.
Grocery IQ
An Awesome Note - to-do, task-management
Tapatalk - to view BBB board
mailPro - to check my hotmail accounts
SaiSuke - calendar app that syncs with Google Calendar, better than CalenGoo IMO
Dragon Dictation - speech recognition. not too useful for me because I need to use the speaker attached to the earphones. but nice for iPhone users. you can speak into the iPhone and it will type out what you say.
CardStar - has great potential but hasn't got mine to work yet. enter all your "rewards card" type plastic cards that have a bar code. keep the actual cards at home. scan the bar codes on your iPod Touch/iPhone instead. reviews say those with screen protectors won't work. mine has a screen protector but i don't want to take it on and off just to scan my library card. there are others who have it working though and love how they can now discard 3/4 of their wallet content.
uPackingList - handy for travel
