DD had an incredibly runny nose last night. It was all clear, thin discharge, not yellow or green or goopy. Could this be because she's teething?

Yes - definitely! And a low grade fever too.

Yes, runny nose and a running facet of drool from my son's mouth when ever he was teething.

Can teething also be related to/cause an ear infection? We just found out that DD has ear infection #2, but I thought it was odd that she also had clear discharge from her nose (and also a cough, but that sounded like allergies or reflux).
Argh. Poor baby.

DD2 has had several ear infections this year usually accompanied by clear nasal discharge. Never did get goopy or gunky...always just clear, runny nose. Likely the virus causing the EI is causing some cold symptoms. DDs pulmonary told us saline, saline, saline for the nose when she has an EI to promote nasal drainage which can help ear fluid drainage.
