Which leggings?

I got M this shirt a few weeks ago, but didn't bother with bottoms at the time. She doesn't like "tight" clothes so she won't wear jeans or khaki style pants- only leggings. Which leggings would you get for this shirt? Are the flowers too much? (I'm not really a floral person, but if they look cute with the top I'll get them.)

Purple or green?

honestly, I would do the floral leggings. Since there is detail in the top I think it goes well. Plus, less likely to show stuff (whereas the solid ones will show much more and I think they may make the outfit look a little bland). I have to preface and say I'm normally a floral top and plain legging person for DD.

Purple or green?


Cute top! I think both the floral and the solid lilac or purple look nice with the shirt. Not too crazy about the green leggings paired with this top. The floral leggings would be less likely to show stains.

As a rule I prefer solid bottoms with patterned tops; patterned bottoms with solid tops. Otherwise the outfits can end up looking like pajamas. In this case either would do since there is a little bit of floral pattern on the top so it wouldn't be "too much".

I think I'll go with the floral (good point about the solid showing more mess).

I usually do one pattern paired with one solid- could be either top or bottom. I just loved this top when I saw it and I had to get it! I wish she would wear it with dark jeans, but I know that's going to be a battle this year. Maybe she'll wear it with a denim skirt, but I don't think that will have enough stretch for her either.

I would totally do the floral leggings. They make the floral pattern on the top really jump out. No brainer.

If you really wanted to do solids, I'd do the green. That violet color is kinda washed out.
