Boogie Wipes

Just a quick question that I wasn't sure which forum to put it in.

My 9.5 month old DD has been having a runny nose all week. It is starting to get dry and messy and a little irritated. At BRU I noticed packs of Boogie Wipes with saline that don't irritate the nose.

1. Are they a complete waste of money or worth it? (Is it age appropriate, the pack said 4 years old and up?)
2. Any there any other remedies that you used that worked? (I tried Aquaphor, but it got messy)

I am interested in buying them, but I wanted feedback first.

We like them. However, we can't stand the fresh and grape scents. Haven't tried the menthol or orange. The only place I can find the unscented ones so far is diapers.com, although I bought a stash so I haven't checked BRU lately.

I saw these at Sam's Club. We didn't get them because it's a such a huge pack and we didn't know if they would work. For those who like them, you might want to check out Sam's/Costco.

I thought that they were silly at first, then my mom bought me some for DS and they are GREAT. Clean up a chapped, dry, messy nose much quicker than a tissue or wipe and are gentle.

I like them too, and I actually like the fresh scent. Smells mild and clean to me.

I was skeptical at first, thinking they would do the same job as a baby wipe, but I'm a believer!
They don't leave your nose feeling greasy like it would if you used a baby wipe. They were super helpful with the snoogies we had last year. LOVE THEM!

Yea, we love them over here too. I like all scents but the menthol. My favorite is the boogie wipes to-go packs. So much more convenient than carrying the entire pack around. I even use them for myself.

My gosh, I'd never heard of these! Now I'm excited for my kids' next colds so I can try them out...ok maybe not but they do sound great!

:yeahthat: I felt the same way when my mother in law first introduced me to them :) (have I mentioned how awesome my MIL is?). I love them because I often get super dry nose but I hate the saline spray, one swipe with these and I feel much better. DS loves them so much he will sit there with the whole pack and pull them out one bye one saying "tissue, tissue" and then wiping and blowing his nose if I leaving them in his reach :)

When I first saw them I thought they were another rip off product to just get mom's to spend money on something they don't really need. Then my cousin gave me one out of her diaper bag when I was trying to wipe my squirmy toddlers nose, and I was a believer. I have them on hand all the time. I just wish they were half the size though.

I will definitely go purchase them today for my DD. They sounded like a ripoff...but it seems like everyone here loves them, so they must be good! Thanks for the feedback. I am excited to try them!

Found these at BRU today -- buy 2 get the 3rd free. Unscented were up by register (only grape and fresh on shelves near medical stuff).

We love them :yay: Even DH and I have used them while having stuffy noses.

I am using them right now on DD1s running nose! I have many packs throughout the house and she knows to open a pack up if she has a "boogar".

I have bought them at Target, Walgreens, BRU, and Meijers. We use the fresh scent and menthol. I like both of them, but menthol is my favorite because it helps with beathing easier too.
