Allergy experts -- question

DS2 has never been tested for allergies. He will often (maybe every other day or more) eat something and get red splotches on his cheeks. He's never had anything worse (breathing, lips blue etc). His splotches always resolve after a few hours.

Should I get him tested? I only want to if I am doing something risky. Otherwise I hope he outgrows it.
