I don't know if this is any help at all, but I searched high and low to find a bargain on that costume 2 years ago. Then, a month or so before halloween, I was in TRU, looked at their costumes and had one that was very similar for about $20. The helmet was stupid (fabric) and the costume wasn't as thick, I'm sure, but it worked for halloween. All the other cheaper firefighter costumes I had seen were icky plasticy fabric or really cheap looking. Anyway, might be worth seeing what they have there if you're not wed to that specific costume.

I bought that costume a few weeks ago, it's soo cute and very nicely made!
The cheapest price I found was Amazon esp with free ship.
I'm not sure what size you need so I just posted the search results.

I'm LOLing, because when DS1 was the fireman, DS2 was a dalmation :)
I don't know how well you'll be able to see the costume here, but here's a pic:

It's almost like a track pants material.

We have both colors in that fireman costume and I was shocked at how nice the quality was. It puts the gymbo fireman costume to shame -it's really nice!

I just bought the aeromax firefighter costume for my son for halloween. I also got it on amazon, which was the best price I could find after searching for a week. The quality if fantastic. He's 2 years 4 months old, but I bought the 4-6 year old size (after calling aeromax and asking about sizing). This costume will last for "dress-up play" for years. I was actually at the Children's Museum in Manhattan a few weeks ago, and this is the same costume that the have there for kids to dress up in with their firetruck. Speaks a lot to its quality. So, yes it is expensive, but if you are interested in keeping it for pretend play for a few years, order a generous size and you will enjoy it.

I was going to get the 4/6 size for my 5.5yo who is 45#, 45". Maybe it's worth sizing up if your 2yo wore the same size?

Thanks for the tip -- I did see the Gymbo one IRL and was a bit disappointed since it was a vinyl-y material. It would be fine for wearing once a year, but I'm wanting to hold onto this for pretend play.

I bought this one and it's great: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002GCL658/ref=oss_product
Just a word of warning - the bullhorn has a REALLY LOUD siren sound. You may want to hide it before you give it to your kid...

Target has firefighter boots right now. http://www.target.com/Toddler-Rainpals-Firefighter-Rain-Boots/dp/B002C9GROA
I kept waiting for them to go on sale, then I found the Western Chief ones at a yard sale for $2 a couple weekends ago! :cheerleader1: Unfortunately we need some fire pants.

We got that costume from Amazon too, for my daughter who is just turning 3. We tried on the 2-3 and the 4-6 at a local store. I wanted the 4-6 so it would last, but DH thought it just looked too big on her. So we got the 2-3. It'll still last for dressup for a little while.
We also got the ON dalmation for DD2. How funny!
