We'll be flying cross country with both DC later this week. Any ideas to keep DD (will have her 1st birthday during the trip) entertained in flight? We'll have videos for DS to watch but I don't think DD has any interest in TV yet. I don't think she has the motor skills to do stickers yet. We'll bring board books and lots of smallish toys, of course. Any other ideas?

Also, she will have her own seat, and she will be sitting in her Graco Snugride (petite kid, she still fits)-how do I install this on the plane? Does it go in rearfacing? if it doesn't install well we could instead bring her roundabout, which I know is easy to install on a plane--we just figured the snugride was smaller/lighter/easier to carry. If I did bring the RA, can I install that RF on a plane? Honestly my main motivation here is to keep her from kicking the seat in front of her, LOL!

That age is tough. I find that new things work best (napkins, paper they can rip to pieces, new toys) as well as snacks.

You can install the Snugride rearfacing on the plane. I may just mention it to the passenger in front of that seat in case they cannot recline all the way back. You may get the evil eye. ;)

I flew with DS2 when he was 12 months old and I forward faced him in a Scenera on the plane (he still rear faces in cars), but the Snugride cannot be forward facing so that is not an option. FYI, his legs could not reach the seat in front of him in the Scenera.
