I was being attacked with catalogs. For me, for my husband, for my dead FIL who never lived here in my house. Buried. Sometimes as much as 2 or 3 inches high in a single day :dizzy: All of which we recycled pretty much on contact but it was annoying and wasteful.

We registered with catalog choice, made a small donation and waited. And then the mail slowed. A lot. Now it is virtually silent.
:yay:

So if you have a lot of catalog mail you hate, you should check it out.

Can they get rid of all the mail still being sent to the previous owners/ tenants of my house? Cuz it's been three years & they haven't figured out how to forward their mail/ change their address. My dear dear postman only delivers mail with our name or 'current resident'. I always know when he has a day off because I get about 7 pieces of mail that are not for us!

I agree, it works really well. I signed up for it and put the footwork in for a while to save every catalog, bring them with me to the computer, plug in all the info (the codes from the yellow and pink boxes) and it really paid off. Catalog delivery to this address went down by about 95% It's awesome. I highly recommend.

As far as other people, I do believe that you can have multiple names in your list, yes. I think it's really anything that's coming into your house. Check it out and see!

We listed my dead FIL as one of the names and checked the option " deceased or not at this address" so you could list their names with the same option. We only got his mail because we handled the estate and when we closed out the po box for the estate we decided we had to forward in case there was strange business or whatnot. So these catalogs chased a dead man from his house, to the estate addy to our addy and they kept coming even after I sent repeated postcard requests indicating that he was dead and to delete him. No one listened, the med school and residency alumni associations were the worst, one still has not stopped and the other only stopped because I happened to meet someone who worked there in a different department of fundraising when he did an internship for me at my organization and i jokingly asked him to
take care of it for me.

Thanks for the reminder! I signed up a while ago, but never did the work to input catalog info. I'll do the work now b/c the amount of paper that I toss everyday is beyond ridiculous.
