cheated or thought about cheating? We were talking about this at work because one of the women heard on the radio that most people in a marriage have either cheated or think about cheating. The poll is anonymous -- no need to comment unless you want to.

I don't think the demographics of this board attracts a lot of those who cheat. Maybe the SO's who aren't on this board, but if you're willing to spend time talking about baby gear, you're prolly not the cheating type. Maybe you were before (when young or whatever), but at this point, being so into baby stuff, very unlikely.

My personality doesn't make cheating attractive. I hate high maintenance relationships. That's exactly what cheating would be (juggling two lives? no thank you). My first g/f was very high maintenance. I just can't take that kind of drama in my personal life. Some people live off that stuff, so cheating might be tolerable to them, but not me.

I've never cheated. But my BF who's DH now cheated on me while we were dating, about 10 years ago. No incidents since then but I'm always on the edge about it.

Are we talking about emotional cheating (aka affair of the heart) too or physical involvement only.

I voted "I would never cheat", and I wouldn't if only because it is too much work; but I actually think it is immoral to deceive someone who thinks both parties are monogamous. If you have an open marriage or are swingers, fine. I think it's gross, but no one is living a lie. I think the real culpability in cheating is the deception.
