period after 11 months ebfing?

i have spontaneously started my period........after like what seems like 2 years...so weird. is this normal? we are down to 2 feedings per day (bedtime and morning) in the past week or so

Sounds normal to me. I know lots of people who got their AF even sooner than that when they were EBF. But this is one of those situations where everyone is different and pretty much everything is normal.

Yes, it's normal for it to come back. Often it doesn't until you've reduced the BF or weaned completely. Sometimes it's much sooner.

Totally normal. I've had mine twice now and DS is 14 months. We're down to about 3 nursing sessions a day.

:yeahthat: We talked about this at baby group once and of breastfeeding mamas one had her period come back at 3 mo (ouch!), several at the 6-8 mo range after they introduced solids, and a few lucky souls were still waiting for it after a year.

I got mine at 6 weeks PP though my son was EBF and woke up multiple (4 times) at night to feed. Each feeding lasted about 30-45 mins so I really was only feeding and changing diapers for pretty much 2 months.

I got mine at 14 months postpartum and was still nursing several times a day at that point. Sounds normal to me.

I am that story about a friend of a friend you have all heard about. I got pregnant while exclusively nursing my 4.5 month old (never actually got AF.) AF returned at 5.5 months while exclusively nursing DD2. Have gotten it about every 5 weeks since and am still nursing about 5 times per day. I am actually more regular now than when I wasn't nursing!!!

:yeahthat: this was basically me too. at 6wks my son was still nursing every 2-3hrs, yet that is when AF decided to return..lucky me. :)

That's about the time mine came back with both Gator and cha cha. It wasn't a regular, dependable period like it usually is, though. It was kind of sporatic.
