How much to spend on teach gifts?

All of the threads on teacher gifts got me wondering, how much should we spend? DD has 2 teachers in her daycare. For all of my other service providers, I usually give the equivalent of one week's pay but that seems like an awful lot for daycare. We are planning to get a Gift Card for each of them. TIA!

I do gift cards and usually give $15. Sometimes I will do something smaller like a $5 Starbucks card.

In the past I have done $30 to the daycare owner, and $15 to one of the helpers that has been there the entire time DD1 has been going to the daycare. This year I think I am going to do $20 for the daycare owner, and $20 for the long time helper. There is one other helper that I usually never see because she is gone before I get there, but I should give her something too.

For preschool @ Christmas last year I spent about $7 on the teacher, and the aide. I bought two boxes of Trader Joe's peppermint chocolate Joes Os, and a box of decaf tea. At the end of the school year I did movie tickets (Costco sells a pack of 2 for $15) for the teacher and the aide.

So for Christmas I tend to spend about $60 total on the four people I have to buy for.

10$ each for GC spent for pre-school (and we have 6 different pre-school teachers who take care of DS2 at various times- they are all lovely and are really involved in his care) and grade school teachers. That's what fits our budget.

Our bus driver (who has been so kind and extra helpful with picking up DS1- she added our house as a bus stop!!) will get at least 30$ in a GC.

I do $20-$25.00 for the three teachers we have.

About $15 each, but since I'm a good shopper, the gifts they get are usually worth more than $15, b/c I buy stuff when it's a good deal.

I did $25 GCs to Target in a $7 Vera Bradley ID case...so probably $35 a piece with shipping. I only have one teacher and the preschool director to buy for.

DS is in a home daycare where there are two teachers. I got 4 $25 spa finder gift cards for $80, so they'll each get $50 worth.
