My sister is very early on with her first pregnancy. I want to get something for the baby for Christmas that is kind of generic and what would normally be in a nursery .... All I can come up with is the Fisher Price Peek-a-Boo Waterfall (like the FP aquarium). Anybody have any other suggestions??

Mobile
Books

These are hard if you don't know what her theme is:

Bedding
Something to hang on the wall (pictures, decals, etc.)

Yeah, that's why I was looking for something generic. I had a definite theme in the nursery, but everybody I knew (including me) had the FP aquarium in the crib. I'm trying to go with something "safe."

I love that idea! Get that one. :)

Swaddle blankets are nice too.

these rechargable lights were my favorite gift - great for midnight feedings...

you cant go wrong with Twilight Turtle!! All three of our DDs LOVE it. And I love it too!

Littlest DD was already staring at the stars at two weeks, like really paying attention to them. I could tell she was mesmerized.

We had the fisherprice rainforest soother- I'd totally get that- it can last longer than a mobile! DD loves hers- she is still in her crib at almost 3- sadly we will be moving to a big girl bed and I'm worried she'll miss her music box! We are trying to find a headboard to attach it to for another year or so!

I'd go with your plan- they are totally worth the money!
