Sigg bottles 50% off at whole foods - today only

I just happened to stop at whole foods to pick up something for dinner and all Sigg bottles are 50% off - ends today. (this was in chicago, not sure if the deal is at all whole foods, might be worth calling before making a special trip)

I always wanted to try them but they seemed so expensive so this was perfect. DDs picked out Pink 0.4 LT Fashion Fairy Bottles and can't wait to use them!

just wanted to say that there was a big controversy a while back about the Sigg bottles - they were found to contain BPA - whih is something they specifically mention that they don't...

they had a big tag on the neck that says BPA free . . . anyone know if this is wrong (not really BPA free)??

Great! Now that my girls are in love with them it looks like they might be going back to whole foods . . . .

anyone feel safe using the new ones? I'm not sure, will probably do some more research in the morning

Thanks for that article. Does anyone have any advice on which bottles are safe?
Now I'm freaked out and must go thru the cabinets and trash most of our bottles!

Personally I did not care for the way they treated the controversy (they never called it a recall I think) I still have a bunch of them I never sent in because they were only offering coupons for new ones. Whole foods reportedly took them back and gave store credits, but I never got around to going. I also never liked the narrow necks because I can't get ice to fit in it. I'm a Klean Kanteen person.

Try Funtainers, some are on sale in the Holiday clearance area at my local Target. Another Sigg hater, here. I love KK and Funtiners, though.
