Awhile ago...

There was a thread about the best e-reader and in the thread there was a discussion about digital library books and how you can get a library card to the greater New York public library and borrow books to read on your e-reader.

I have been looking into getting a library card for the greater New York public library (I am in the Phoenix area of Arizona), but everywhere I have found that you have to be a New York resident.

Does anyone know how this works....

You have to pay a fee and mail an application. I haven't done it yet....

I think all libraries require that you live in the area to use them (even elibraries) I did a quick google search and found this one which I think you should be able to use.
