Just wanted to share this picture DD drew.
The spelling kills me - so cute! I never correct it - should I? DD is 6.

Also please share you DC's artwork!

Great drawing.

DS's K teacher encourages them to "stretch out" the words. I don't correct at this stage. He is building confidence to try to write/ read unfamilure words. I'm confident he will learn the correct way to spell (most) words by the time he gets out of high school. If not there is always spell check. ;)

ETA- I certainly would not correct it on something like this- artwork, being creative, free writing, etc. Besides- maybe it is a pingwin and not a penguin as you assume. ;) MAYBE homework- if the teacher requires it.

ETA2- I am clearly not the best speller.

So cute!!

I wouldn't correct it either unless asked to or if it was a homework assignment. I love that age when they are learning to spell.

very cute, i wouldn't change a thing. I would keep a digital copy and probably frameit and hang it in the house with name and date.

I don't save all of dd's creations but some just stand out, like this one! Awesome artwork!

Thanks!
Her class is the only class in the whole town that doesn't get homework!

I'm trying to enjoy the misspellings for as long as out lasts!
