So I have been thinking about this for a few days. I watched the finale and the premiere back to back, so forgive me if my details are fuzzy.
At the end of Season 4 Bill announced their plural marriage. He had been elected, but not sworn in.
Since plural marriage is against the law, can't they just not have him sworn in? From the premiere you get the vibe that no one wants him there. And if they wanted to go really far have him arrested as he admitted to breaking the law?
I they opener they say that Utah does not have recall or impeachment except for felony conviction. (no idea if its true irl) So I'm guessing they are stuck with him less the state decides to prosecute him under the existing polygamy laws.

:yeahthat:
That and I'm not sure he's technically breaking the law. He has one wife under the law and he's married two others in a religious ceremony, but he didn't get a marriage license.

I'm not that intriqued by the season 5 opener. :-( And I have been pretty much addicted to this show. I'm not sure if it's the explosion of "Mormon" stuff in pop culture since Big Love came out, but I just wanted to say, "Oh, Bill, get over yourself" by the end of Sunday's episode.

And I was hoping his wives would say the same thing!
