Are there any "how to" books for adults to potty train their tots? DD has been interested for awhile but it's very touch and go with her. She's 2.5 now and knows when she's wet but doesn't want to sit on the potty. I haven't been consistent either with trying to put her on her potty. I just feel like she's been showing so many signs of "readiness" but I'm not sure where/how to take it.
Book recs, anyone??
I trained DS at 26 months using 3daypottytraining.com. Adjusted it a little to suit DS's personality, but he was trained in 3 days. Comes and tells me when it's "potty time". I'm amazed at how easy he was.

I didn't find any books helpful. What I did once they showed readiness signs was institute regular pottying and help them stay on (youtube videos helped DS a lot...;)) until they went enough times to make a muscle association. Then just kept taking them every so often until I knew how long they could last and their developed more control. It was a 1-2 week process of moving from diapers to full-time underwear.
Also, I don't believe in waiting for a child to tell you when they need to pee each time until they're a bit older. That tends to lead to more accidents. I am much more a 'potty schedule' mom and will say 'it's time to go potty now' and take them to go.
