Do you like your bedding? Recommendations needed.

I would like to redo our bedroom but I am having a difficult time finding bedding. Please post if you have bedding you like. I just need some ideas. Thanks so much.

Can you share some more of colors you like or what you are looking for?

I don't typically go in for a fully matched/coordinated set. If one peice gets ruined, it is difficult to replace. And over time, your sheets will get washed and will fade faster than peices that don't get washed as frequently like coordinated toss pillows, dust skirts, or even bedspreads.

Here are just some ideas to get ya thinking:

- In summer, we use white sheets so they can be bleached. We live in a hot climate so we get umm...sweaty. And DH apparently can't say, "No" to DD - ever. So even though she has not slept or eaten in my bed for 8 months while he was gone, our bed already has cheerios in it and he has been home 1 week.

- We use duvets and duvet covers instead of comforters or bedspreads. They go further, the covers get washed with our sheets. In summer, we just use the duvet cover and leave the duvet folded in the closet.

- We keep a quilted cotton blanket on the bed. It adds weight, which we like. But mainly, it give a place for the cats to lay without getting cat hair on our sheets.

For us, we like to keep the room calm and quiet in colors. We lead very hectic lives so our room is our sanctuary, our retreat. We usually have white with coffee color or white with grey. Presently, we have charcoal colored flannel sheets, grey jersey knit duvet cover and white cotton quilt.

Our walls are super pale pink so that they look white until you hold white up against them - very soothing. We have a couple of very large black and white photos of flowers on the wall, white sheers on the windows, natural colored furniture with contemporary lamps with white shades from Ikea on the nightstands.

I love Overstock.com and Marshalls for bedding.

Thank you. Your suggestions are excellent. I'm not looking for a certain color because the room is a blank slate (tan walls, beige carpet, and dark cherry furniture). I was hoping that people could recommend bedding that they currently using and like a lot. Please keep the recommendations coming. I could use all the help I can get...

I think plum colors are trendy right now and lend themself nicely to the blank slate you already have.

We have this set and it is the warmest thing ever! We love it so much that when we re-did out room last year, we bought the same set again but in the charcoal stripe color (we originally had it all in brown) Apparently it's being discontinued so they have some decent prices on it now.
