I know, I know....

we should have bought it when we were looking at the start of the season!

Amazon has a few but all say ships in 1-3 months. There's another site I found that says shipping mid-week this week.

We're in NJ so that's why this is even harder!

All of the usual stores are out of stock: Sears, Lowes, Home Depot plus the local hardware type stores.

*OR*..... recommend your brand! We're looking @ gas mower, 2 stage, 24" + Width and 21"+ Height.

We have a toro and love it. It is great -- used for 3 years and no issues. I got it at a local dealer vs online. Good luck!

We have an electric toro that works great. We originally got in on Amazon, but it's sold out right now:

http://www.amazon.com/Toro-18-Inch-Electric-Thrower-38025/dp/B00005OQMG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1256933933&sr=8-1

I can see the advantages of gas, but for us, electric has worked great!

We looked at my moms neighbors tonight and confimed it must be two stage, gas, self propelled, etc.

I have a few places in nj to call tomorrow that may still have stock.

Try www.snowblowersdirect.com

They have only 22 left total. We just bought one a few weeks ago (Ariens) and now that brand is completely all sold out. We live in Jersey also and I feel your pain right now.

This is the site we've been looking at! Did you opt for the extra $50 delivery fee?

Yes because we weren't going to be home for delivery. We just left instructions to leave in front of our garage door. We thought it was well worth the $50 because even if we were home, we didn't have the manpower to lift/unload ourselves. The snowblower (Ariens, 2 stage, 24", gas) was 185#. Worked wonderfully this past week when we got nearly 20in of snow (predicted was 8-12").

i've been happy with my toro, but it's a single stage. from what i understand, the 4 main recommended brands for two stage snowblowers are honda, ariens, toro and snapper. purchased my toro and a generator from www.wisesales.com which had great prices and fast shipping. hope that helps.

I just saw one yesterday at Sears, Willow Grove. I guess it could of been a return. I thought about buying it for a split second but with hopes of moving to FL, I kept going.

We have a (massive) Ariens snowblower from The Power Place in Rockaway. Highly recommend them. Worth a call to see if they'll price match for you.
