I'm having deja vu and nightmares about strollers again. In 2008, while preparing for DD #1, I read a million reviews and finally settled on the BJCE - fully expecting to be able to buy the jump seat when baby #2 arrived. Well DD #2 arrived last Sept and I just found out that BJ doesn't make the jump seat anymore (as an aside, their customer service is awesome - I emailed them and they responded in less than five minutes). Anyway, now we need a new double stroller.
I have a MacClaren (love), a Graco Snap and Go and the BJCE (love). I'm prepared to sell all three strollers on Craigslist, especially since both the BJCE and MacClaren are in really good shape. DD#1 is only 26 pounds at 30 months. DD #2 is 17 pounds at 4.5 months. DD #1 is still to young to walk a lot and DD #2 doesn't really like to be worn all that much (she likes to look around). We live in the suburbs, but have lots of walking trails (bumpy asphalt) and do frequent the park (grassy areas and dirt trails, but nothing crazy). Other than that we use strollers for the mall, zoo, travel, etc. I am 5'1" and my husband is just under 6', so adjustable handle is a must. Other musts: good canopy (summers are hot here!), excellent push, flat fold, not too heavy, good recline (the two year still naps). I work, so using it with the car would be mainly a weekend thing. A roomy basket would be nice but it's not a dealbreaker. I also don't want something too big. DD #2 is still in a infant car seat/snap and go, but she's getting heavy and will probably be out of it in the next few months. We don't need the stroller right now, but if there are some good deals on 2010 models, I am willing to buy it now.
It seems like there are a lot of new options out there since I last looked in to this. Please help!

They are all too big since they are double strollers... nature of the beast. The usual suspects..

There are awesome deals on the 2010 bob Duallie right now. It is wide, but not as heavy as most side-by-sde strollers. I would get that as it sounds like you need air tires. It has a great push and huge canopies. No adjustable handlebar though.

Would your husband be lifting in it/out of the car on the weekend for you? I can't live without my BJCED. Is that something you are considering? I find that the way it folds and can be lifted by the straps makes up for any weight of it. My DH doesn't think it is heavy at all.
we have the indie twin. DH is 6'5'' and I'm 5'5'' and we can both use it easily. The handle adjusts nicely and he doesn't kick the basket when he pushes it.
As a SBS double, it is a little heavy to lift in and out of the car.....compared to a single stroller.......but at 36lbs (I think), it's one of the lighter SBS doubles. I take it in and out of the car a few times a week and don't mind it at all.
I wouldn't sell both of your single strollers though. I still use my single sometimes when I either take one of the girls out by myself....or sometimes DD1 wants to walk up and down the street and I'll just pop DD2 in a stroller.

Agreed. I would probably keep the Mac around and get an AT double to replace your BJCE.

Babyboutiqueoutlet.com has (or maybe had?) the 12" AW Bob Duallie in navy for $399 (plus there's a $10 1st time customer discount). For $389 I'd go for it, unless your kids are exeptionally tall and if they are I guess I'd try them out in one first.
The only thing is that the Bob is pretty big and bulky IMO and even with the 12" wheels I wouldn't want to be pushing it indoors or taking in/out of my trunk on a regular basis. I'd stalk CL and Ebay and maybe you can find the jumpseat for your BJCE. Otherwise, I'd look for a tandem option for indoors or maybe a narrow, lightweight SBS.

Thanks for all the input! I'll look through all the ones you've suggested. Good point about keeping a single. At some point DD#1 will not want to ride. I would be surprised if our kids will be tall because I'm so short (LOL) but I will probably try them in the stroller. DD #2 is in the 90th percentile for height, but DD #1 is only in the 25th percentile. We are reasonably close to a Buy Buy Baby, a Great Beginnings and an REI, so we can probably find a model of most of the ones you've suggested.
I did see a BJ jump seat on Ebay and tried to get it, but it sold for $200 and I figured at that price, I could just get a new stroller. I haven't seen it on CL yet. Thanks for the suggestions! If anyone has any more I'd be glad to hear them.

Quick question - I checked out Great Beginnings website and there are four different BOB duallies - the Ironman, the Stroller Strides, the Revolution and the Sport Utility. Which one are you guys recommending?
