Any ideas I haven't bought for a 2 yo since my nephew and he is now 7. This boy (although I am not sure) I think is not hurting for much and is probably spoiled rotten (not a bad thing just a point of reference :) )

What could I get him that there would be a low chance of him already having it, etc. Should I get something at a B&M store so returning could be easy or do you think Amazon would be easy enough?

TIA!

Play Doh is always a good gift. It goes bad and needs to be replaced. For that age I love Little People. The airplane and the bus are two favorites. If you wanted something less common I would look at plan toys or maybe a M&D food set (pizza or birthday cake are fun). As far as returns go I would go with a B&M store. Amazon has to be mailed back at their expense etc. Target or TRU will give store credit but you can always find something there.

My DS is about to turn 2, and I'm getting him a little backpack. He loves to wear his big sister's backpack around the house! I'm also going to get him his own bike helmet, even though he isn't riding a bike yet, but he does have a ride-on that he goes pretty fast on outside.

Other ideas:
Scout - the leapfrog learning puppy
My First Leaptop
one of those really big balls from Target

I second the backpack idea.
Other ideas:
sleeping bag

canteen or water bottle (on sale now @ LLBean)

tent (though he might have one if he has everything)

kids umbrella or rubber boots (on sale @ Sierra Trading Post--see bargains thread on this). Rubber boots are a huge hit at our house and kid can usually put them without help! Target sometimes has these also.

personalized beach towel or bath towel

I really like the Usborne 1001 Things To Spot ... books. We have the animals one and have given the town one as a gift.
