? about paying with paypal on walmart.com and then canceling order but not seeing ref

i placed a order on walmart.com earlier tonite. and then decided 20 minutes later to cancel it. I paid for it with paypal. and it was still processing according to walmart.com so i clicked cancel on their site. it says my order is canceled. but on paypal it says pending. and then it says the following.

What the hell does this mean? and no i dont see the money back in my paypal account. GRRRRRRR. i did contact walmart and asked them what this meant but obviously havent heard back yet.


now i will never use paypal again to pay for anything from any online retailers. I am so confused and mad.

I never do paypal, however, I do a fair amount of online shopping (and some canceling of orders).... IME, it's always taken a little while (2-3 days) to get the money back....

Basically, it's like at the gas station when you use a debit card to pay at the pump. It charges x amount onto your card (our typical station is $75), and then refunds whatever you don't use. No matter the amount I spend/use in that senerio, I always end up waiting a few days for it to be creditted back to my account.

Yes, there will be a lag in your refund from paypal, probably 3-5 business days.

I've used Paypal to purchase from Lands End online. Then I returned the item to Sears. The refund showed up in my Paypal account a few days later. Like PP said, it's like a credit card - takes time for the refund info to get back to you.
