It is getting hot, and my 2.9 year old discovered icecream. I want to be able to make some popsicles that are a little healthier than what one can get (which I think is just a sugar pop). I have never made popsicles before- are there any recipes that people tried and work well? I figure fruit puree or fruit juice can be put into some molds (any recommendations for the mold?) but am not sure how it will work in real life.

I used an ice cube tray w/popsicle sticks after they started to harden, and it worked great! We did some w/ half juice, half water, but most of them were plain yogurt and fruit in a blender, then poured into the tray. Super easy and yummy!

I don't really use a recipe. I mix up a fruit smoothie (milk, plain or vanilla yogurt, and frozen fruit) and blend it in my Magic Bullet. Depending on the type of fruit you use, you might need a tiny bit of sweetener like honey, etc. I have a set of popsicle molds that I pour it in to freeze.

I buy the popsicle molds from Target or Walmart, and fill them with either real fruit juice (any flavor) or flavored yogurt. My kids love them!
