Just a little something to make you chuckle - hopefully.
Last night I got to the sitter's house to pick up DS and he promptly bit, then pinched her. So we had time out...until he said "I'm sorry."
Since I was there, I put him in time out on my lap (which is typical because we can't get him to stay anywhere on his own)...but he was being stubborn and wouldn't apologize.
First he started playing with my watch...so I took it off.
Then it was my work ID badge...of it came.
Then my bracelet...add that to the pile.
Then the keys in my hands...set them aside.
Then my necklace (reaching behind his head)...off it came.
Then my sunglasses...
At this point, I said, "DS I can take it all off but we are not leaving until you apologize to H"
Sitter started laughing and said, "That didn't sound good...I can just see explaining to my DH well, D is naked in our living room because her DS is in time out."
Then she said, "Actually, I think you're on to something...I think this is the perfect threat for teenagers...embarrassment probably works better than any punishment you can think up!"
Anyway, it was pretty comical. In the end we settled for hugs and kisses, though no, "I'm sorry" was uttered or signed...stinker.
