View Full Version : can i put itunes (library and entire program) on an external hard drive?

I am in the process of converting files to mp3 from aac. I have a tiny hard drive and am looking for another place to put my itunes. That way my files don't take up.the whole hd, in duplicate. Am I making any sense?!? I haven't slept much as I have been playing with my new toy!! I think I need a techy message board. tia.

what you want to do is locate the library on an external HD, the app remains on the harddrive of your PC/mac.

Thanks. I will check it out. Do I have put the music onto itunes? I think that it automaticall y went there when I ripped from my cds. Thanks.

When I load new music onto the.computer? I think that it just puts it into itunes...i may be wrong on this but wasn't sure. Does that make sense?
