Alright I know that I can't send just Nything to Goodwill but I'm not sure where the line is. Dad had a ton of shoes. None are new, none have the boxes. But some are in good condition in that the soles look barely worn. The ones in best condition are boots, hunting and winter.

So, what do you think? Garbage or Goodwill for the shoes?

Goodwill or a homeless shelter. Winter boots even in used condition will be a God send for someone.

Agree with other PP, Goodwill.

Absolutely Goodwill. They don't care about boxes, and as long as the shoes are relatively clean and in good repair, Goodwill will be happy to get them.

I agree that a homeless shelter might be good. Definitely don't throw them away. I now give all our clothes/shoes to a local homeless shelter that uses the clothes for the homeless and whatever they don't need goes into a thrift shop where the profit from the sales goes to help the homeless.

When my Mom passed away she had a ton of shoes and we gave them all to souls4souls.org which is shoes for Haiti. If you go to their website they have drop off locations. I also agree with Homeless shelters or a half way house for those trying to get started again.
