View Full Version : Showing off my Star Wars Party

My kiddo turned 6. I think this might be our last home party for him because those rowdy boys nearly killed me!
Regardless, it was fun--my guy was thrilled and that's why we do it, right?
Decorating wise this was one of the easiest parties ever because we already own so much star wars crap and I just put it out for the kids to look at and play with.
For food we grilled dogs and burgers and my witty names went so under appreciated ;) "Han"Burger anyone?
I tried to include details with the pictures in case anyone was looking for ideas for their own party--but if you have any questions, ask away.
The pictures aren't that great because I was trying not to show other people's children.

For some reason, I got stuck at photo 10 and it wouldn't let me see the rest, but it looks great! Did you get the stuff from PBK to do cookies and cupcakes? And did you make the cloaks? I know you guys had a great time!

It looked great. And I'm really glad that I looked at it without DD#1 anywhere nearby. She's already trying to talk me into an AG themed Birthday party this would just kick that into overdrive.

WOW
I know several six year olds who would be intensely jealous of your DS :)

I used the cookie cutters from William Sonoma. I made marshmallow fondant then cut--easy peazy! Let me assure you I will not be making iced cookies with those. The cookies I actually bought from William Sonoma when they went on clearance.
As for the cloaks/ robes. Saying I "made" them might be giving me too much credit ;) But yes, I did. Much to my mom's chagrin they were a no sew project.
Thanks for the sweet words everyone :)

Ok, I'll be honest. The SW party looked like fun, but I recognized the floor and the cabinets and went back to the kitchen porn thread to oogle over your kitchen again. I'm still jealous of it.
