specifically trading cards?

I came across my old stash of trading cards from the 70s & 80s. Yes, I'm old. They include (original):

Charlie's Angels
Mork & Mindy
Grease
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Star Wars
Empire Strikes Back

Also, have Empire Strikes Back Burger King drinking glasses, some movie paraphenalia and autographs.

Do you think they are worth something? I don't even know where to begin to start researching this. If anyone has a clue, I'd appreciate it!

No idea - how about just quickly looking them up on ebay? That way you can see if anyone is selling them even?

I almost killed my dad when he moved out of the house I grew up in. My aunt worked for McDonald's in the 70's and 80's and gave us every McD's collectible glass that they ever had. He recycled every single one of them! AACK!

Good luck figuring it out! That's so cool that you have all that stuff!

check your public library's website. they may subscribe to a service for checking sale prices of collectibles. one of them is called Price It! Antiques & Collectibles. if not, you can still call or go to the library and see if they will help.

Thanks! According to ebay I am not sitting on a gold mine over here. Don't know if that's the end all be all resource. Maybe I'll take a trip to the library and see what else I can dig up.

Aren't there any eccentric millionaires out there nostalgic for 70s/80s kitsch and looking to invest their money in collectibles?

That's too funny. I just found a huge box of the same stuff recently, the Charlies Angels cards cracked me up!
