View Full Version : Rec your running pants

I'm trying to continue running in 40-50 degree weather but don't have the right gear. I tried on a few pairs of running tights at a local store but they were $80-90 and didn't seem to fit quite right. I tried a few at Target and they were a little too thin and despite fitting seemed to cause a nasty case of camel-toe. I tried sizing up and they were then too big.
Any recs for brands, materials, stores, styles, anything? We have most b&m options in the area and I'm open to online shopping as well. REI? Athleta? Whatever is on sale at Kohl's? Short/petite sizes a plus.
I like this one from Athleta but not sure how warm it would be and it's backordered for awhile anyway.

I'm a big fan of Under Armour cold weather gear. I think these are the running tights I have.

I got 2 pair of luluemon but think they are more for 50-60 not 40-50 degrees. I LOVE them.

I ran in 40 degree rain earlier this month for a 5K. I didn't have cold weathered clothes, so I wore my DH's pearl izumi pant biking bibs (yes, they look goofy, he laughed at me, esp since I always make fun of him when he wears them, I wore a shirt over it, so you couldn't tell they were bibs). I loved them! They have like a fleecy inner layer that kept me warm, but not too hot or cold. I would recommend that whatever you get, something with that fleecy lining would be good.
I got these at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale this summer and I love them! I've been wearing them all fall and want to get another pair.
I'm sure you could find it somewhere else, though--Zella 'run-round' tight.

Grab a pair of Tuffs from e-bay. They sold them at Costco last year and I wish I'd bought more...I hope they come back this year. But, there are lots on E-Bay!:
I wear the yoga capris in that temp.
