Our washing machine needed $400 in repairs :( so I went and checked out this weekend's sales and I was able to get a new top loading HE Whirlpool machine for less than the repair bill (after rebates). It requires HE soap and DH and DD both have very sensitive skin. I use Country Save right now but I'm not sure if its safe for HE machines. Would love to hear your recommendations for HE soap.
Thanks

Charlie's soap poweder. I believe poweder is supposed to be better as it doesn't gum up the system as easily. I love love love Charlie's.

If you use Country Save, totally stick with it, esp if you know it works for your skin! It's safe for HE machines. You basically just use half the amount, or even less (read the box).
For our front-loader, I use half scoop for a moderately soiled load and I only use 1/4 scoop for a lightly soiled load.
For kids clothes, which I consider heavily soiled, I still use a half scoop, but then I pause the machine and let the clothes soak for a couple of hours (or overnight) and then finish the cycle.
We haven't had any problems and have been using CS for 3 years now.
