Yes, you read that correctly. I vacuumed out the lint trap ( its a newer machine, lint screen is in door of machine). I looked in to see if I got it all and saw A BUNCH stuck in the bottom.
So I got a chopstick and got about 2 c. Of lint out!! Then chopstick fell in. So I got training chopsticks to use as pinchers to get the said fallen chopstick. One of the tongs of the training chopsticks broke off and fell in!!!! Ahhhhh!
How can I get them out. It is pretty deep......

Nozzle is not long enough to reach down there :-(

Something sticky on the end of scissors maybe? I've had to dig things out of the dc's bathroom sink and scissors worked well for me.

Do you have a shop vac? Ours has a flat attachment that might fit.

How about sticking a paper towel tube on the end of the nozzle of the vacuum cleaner? You can tape it in place and flatten the tube down so that it'll fit inside.
A paper towel tube might be too big, but any sort of hollow tube that you can tape securely to the nozzle might work.

An unraveled metal coat hanger with double sided tape or duct tape wrapped backwards to help "catch" them?

You guys are AWESOME!!!! Great ideas. I ended up putting packing tape on the end of a long spoon (too big to fall in) and while it couldn't bring the chopsticks up on its own, the tape held them in place so I could grab them.
THANK you for caring and offering such intelligent suggestions. My brain was in panic mode and couldn't think.
