Ques re: Toddler abilities?

Please share what you think is avg. and above avg for the following age levels.

Specifically - physically (motor and fine-motor) and intellectually (how much they know etc.)


Age 2 -



Age 3



I feel like I remember seeing some list on-line, but I don't remember it being as detailed as I wanted.

There is such a wide range, I think individual answers would vary considerably. I'd take a look at a variety of online charts to get a better feel for what is typical.

When we go to DS' annual checkups with his pediatrician, the office always gave us a handout of what things he should be doing. IIRC, there were ranges too, such as things he definitely should be doing, things he might be doing, etc. I imagine this would be online too, but you might want to check your pediatrician's office.

My 4 have been all over the place on what they could do. Example Nathan was barely talking at 3 and Jack reads simple site word books at 3.
