I have posted a few times in the last few days about DD's cold/cough. She was seen by pedi on Thursday morning with fever and cough. He said to use the inhalers, honey for cough, benedryl at bedtime. She started to vomit with coughing on Thursday afternoon.

Her temp has stayed the same with Advil and Tylenol every 6-8 hrs. (temp 99-102) her cough is junky and is consistent. She doesn't want to eat or drink, but will drink if we remind her.

We had a horrid night. And she doesn't seem to be getting any better since Thursday, worse actually. I feel like there should be something else I could do? Antibiotics? Prescription cough meds? I know she isn't the first Kid to get a chest cold, So I hate to page the doc just to ask if there is something else I could be doing. It just seems like we have been dealing with this for a bit now...any btdt?

Since you said she seems to be getting worse, I'd call. We've had a couple of times where a cold/virus has ended up with an ear infection or (in my case, though not DS's), that junky cough ended up as bronchitis. If tomorrow weren't a holiday for many people/doctors, I might say to wait it out, but for 2 whole days (since it's still early), when in doubt, I would call.

I hope she's feeling better soon!

How old is she? Any difficulty breathing? I'd be inclined to go ahead and call regardless. But if she is having trouble breathing or under 2, I'd definitely call.

(Of course, my 22 month old dd just had pneumonia so that is coloring my view.)

I would feel better if they listened to her lungs. I'd take her in. have you done a steamy room yet?

We have tried steam in the bathroom and it helped, a little. She doesn't want to sit in there and was protest to the point of crying and getting upset, I figured it wasn't worth the fight.
I paged her pedi, and he is calling in another inhaler, and said if her breathing changes to take her to urgent care, otherwise if there isn't a change to bring her in tomorrow morning.
