Baby Jogger Car Seat Adaptor Compatibility

Hi all!

I'm invited to a baby shower for a friend of mine from swim team (decades ago!) and noticed she put the Baby Jogger car seat adapter on her registry ... along with the Chicco KeyFit30 infant bucket seat.

When I was looking myself, I was given to understand that the adapter was not compatible with the KeyFit ... and, of course, my DH fell in love with the Cortina travel system (which I despise.)

Does anyone know if Baby Jogger has gotten its act together in the 3 years since I registered?

It has. I have the KF30 and BJCM and the adapter and it works.

Yes, they now make a separate adaptor for the Chicco. According to BJ, it's not the same as the universal adaptor though.

Not 100% sure, but I don't think so. I think once one adapter is in, it would block the spot to put the second adapter in. I will ask my friend who has twins though.
ETA - I confirmed with my twin mom that it is only one side with the car seat.

There are only a handful of strollers that will take 2 carseats SBS.

Off the top of my head:
bugaboo donkey
stroll air my duo
easywalker duo (but maybe only the maxi cost/cybex aton)
bumbleride indie twin (but only maxi cosi/aton)

There are lots and lots of strollers with full flat reclines and/or two carrycots though, including the MB duo that has an awesome double-wide carrycot.

Hi - the Baby Jogger City Mini double, City Mini GT double, and City Elite double strollers can only take one infant seat. Chicco is an option on all Baby Jogger strollers, by the way.

The City Select is the only Baby Jogger stroller that will take two infant seats, including Chicco.

I feel much less queasy about the state of her registry now, especially since I am such a safety-first nut.

I wonder which stroller she received - I didn't see one on either registry, so I'm hoping it's one she can use the 2 carseats with. (If she's got the Baby Jogger adapter there, I'm assuming she's got a Baby Jogger stroller, KWIM?)

Yup, twins due in early May. I think they'll be her parents' first grandchildren and her mom is super-excited. And I checked - she has another couple items that are CitySelect-specific, so it looks like someone generously bought her the City Select stroller.

I saw some other stuff on the registry that I kind of raised an eyebrow or two, but, hey, not everybody gets into the book-research for baby gear.
