I'm looking to get a trampoline (and enclosure) for our smallish yard. I know a 14' is too big but I'm deciding between a 10' and 12'.

The 10' would give us a little more yard room but the 12' could still work.

I'd like to get smaller, but I don't want to waste the money on something that's too small.

I'd like 4 kids to be able to bounce at once (each girl and a friend)...

Does anyone have a 10'? If so, do you think it's big enough?

Thanks!

I hate to be a spoil sport but the insurance agent in me can't help it. There should never be more than one person on a trampoline at a time. You also may want to check with your home insurer to be sure it won't jeopardize your insurance.

No tramps here. My sister is an ER nurse (she had a 4 yr old with a broken neck from a tramp right after she started nursing) and there is a HUGE sign in our peds office warning about the dangers of tramps even with the nets.

No trampolines ever. Never ever. I once walked out of a in-home daycare provider's house because I saw one in the backyard. I have known way too many kids who have gotten hurt.

If you do get one, there shouldn't be more than one person jumping at a time. We had a neighborhood kid lose a few adult teeth in a collision on a trampoline.

Seriously folks. I know the dangers. I just want to know about sizes...

I guess we are just totally thinking you don't really know the dangers if you want 4!! kids jumping at once. If something happens to a friend of your kids, you would feel awful and could lose everything if it was serious. If you know this and decide to let multiple other kids on it, in our adjoining county, you could be charged and convicted of reckless endangerment. Get one for your
Kids if you must, but at least don't create a hazard for other kids. I'm not being hysterical, what you suggest really is not safe at all.

I would probably go for a 12'. I am thinking about 10 foot vs 12 foot pools that our friends had and our 5 kids were happily splashing around in the 12 foot ... the 10 foot was a tighter fit.

I would check with your homeowners insurance though, some will not cover you if you have a trampoline at home!

Check with your home owners first. Ours will not cover trampoline injuries. My agent ( also my friend) also said they will cancel policies if a trampoline is found on your property.
