DD is 13 months old and we've weaned off all day time bottles but I still BF first thing in the morning and at bedtime. I've been offering cow's milk from a cup (in addition to water) at meals, but she wants nothing to do with it. Occasionally, I can get her to take a sip or two through a straw. She does well with the water from a cup and also using a straw. She loves solid dairy like yogurt, cheese, and cottage cheese so I make sure to offer plenty of those options. Are there any other things I can try to entice her to drink milk?

When I was going to be transitioning DD to cow's milk a few people suggested mixing cow's milk with breast milk. DD wanted nothing to do with it, but it is worth a try. DD wasn't crazy about cow's milk at first but I continued to offer it and now she loves it. I also noticed a large increase in her intake when she completely weaned. Sounds like your DD is getting her fill of dairy with the yogurt and cheese, so I wouldn't worry too much.

We had this problem, the solution for us was mixing plain whole milk yogurt with milk. I just kept adding more milk, less yogurt. I started by adding only enough milk to thin it enough for her to drink through a straw. Once she really took to I increased the amount of milk. Made the transition really smooth.
