In the SE suburbs on LA County that butt up against North Orange County, CA.
Girls:
Isabella (known at least 5 or 6 of them, one at DD1's current school, preschool, church school or ballet)--all are between 5-7.
Abigail--two are 3, and the other is 4.
Audrey--both are 4
I also know about 7 girls with the names of Kate/Katie/Caitlyn/Katelynne or Katelyn. The range in age from 2 weeks to 14. I think the only one who is a Catherine or a Kathleen is the 14 yr. old (she is DD's 8th grade buddy at school)
Sarah, there are a bunch of them at DD1's school, most are in the 2nd through 4th grade.
Piper, know of 2 of them, both are 8 or 9.
Charlotte, know of a few of these too, maybe 3, one is 2, the others are 6-7.
On the popular side I only know 1 Emma, but know 1 Sophia, 1 Sofia, and 1 Sophie. Emma is 5, and the Soph's are 2, and 6. I do not know a single Madison who is DD1's age.
Boys:
Quinn, know 3 of them, two are 6, and in DD1's class, the other is 2.
Anthony, known 3 of them
Jack, know 3 of them, one 6, one is 7, and the other is 10.
Jacob/Jake, know 2 of them, they are 6.
Popular names that we don't hear more of

Grace! They are everywhere! So many girls either named Grace or with Grace as their middle name.
Lots of girly names like Isabella, Gabriella, Chloe, Lily, Sophia, Olivia.
Boys: Jack and Sam seem to be the "it" names of this generation. And they're great names, too!
I'm seeing fewer Madisons and Tylers and Masons than a few years ago.
I am in the Deep South...
Girls:
Hannah
Grace
Olivia
Abigail
Madison
Morgan
Sophia
Boys:
Alex/Alexander

OMG, you're right, I know several! Although all on the east coast or midwest.
And what about Isla/Ayla - I know 4 kids with this name!

Around here, for boys, it's anything that rhymes with Aiden--Brayden, Hayden, Cayden, etc. Lots of Owens in DS2's preschool.
The Jacks, Jacobs, Jakes, and Jacksons are all school age now. I once had 6 Jacks in one 3rd grade class.
For girls, we see a lot of Sophia, Olivia, Isabella, Grace. These replace the Kaitlins, Emmas, and Ellas.

Of the eight boys in DS2's kindergarten class, three are named Jacob (one goes by "Jake"...the other two are "Jacob Last Initial")
In DS1's 1st grade class, among the eight boys, there are two Jakes and two Benjamins.
Years ago I said we could have a party for the boys, limit the guests to Jakes and Maddies (various spellings of Madelyn/Madeline and Madison) and have a good crowd.
Other names which are popular among my kids peers are
Boys...
Gabriel/Gabe
Jackson/Jack
Zachary/Zachariah/Zach/Zac (I know of at least four families who have DS3s named Zach...including ours...it's as if they were saying Z...end of the alphabet...three boys and we are DONE)
Charlie
Nate/Nathan/Nathaniel
Girls...
Isabella/Izabella
Sophia/Sofia/Sophie (more often than not, the sister of Isabella)
Ava
And a variety of bastardizations of Irish surnames (Ryleigh/Makenzie/Kennedi)

.
LOL, my boys are Jack and Sam and we have only met one other Jack (Jackson) that was a few years younger. We have yet to meet another Sam, boy or girl! It is really funny how regional popularity can be!
We know 2 Sofias, 4 Clare/Claras, a few McKenzie/Kenzies, and a handful of Bellas (with various formal names)
For boys we meet a ton of Aiden/Brayden/Cadens and I know of 3! Lukes born in the last 2 months from my FB alone!

I can't even reply to this thread as the names of kids on my street are so completely "different" they'd find me out if i listed them and they googled their kids' names.
There aren't a ton of duplicates here because of the ethnic diversity.
William, Samuel, Ella, Emma, Hannah are popular, I guess.

:yeahthat: we have a ton of c names, especially cash and Cole. They are cute names, though. And lots of Henry's and Benjamin's and Quinn's. (Also nice names)
For girls pretty much anything ending in an A. (This includes my girls) .
(Kindle wanted apostrophes and I am too lazy to argue with it)

Not sure on girl names as there aren't too many girls in DD's age group in any of her classes. But for boys, it is definitely Jackson and Aiden. DD was taking a gym class with 10 kids total and we had 2 Jacksons and 2 Aidens!

Most of what's been mentioned here...older names that are new again...Sophia, Olivia, Ella, Emma, Lily, Sarah, Isabella, Julia, Ava, etc.
Interestingly, though, DD's tee ball team has the biggest concentration of variants of Kaylee that I've ever seen: 1 Kayla; 2 Kaylees; 1 Kiley; and 1 Jayla. That's five kids-- there's only 12 on the team. :) Oh, and there are 2 Sarahs.

ALL of these are present in my circle. DD's class has 2 Avas and 2 Isabellas.
At church, we know 2 Sophias, 2 Olivias, an Emma, and a Gabriella. And all these girls are split between three families! We also have 2 Elizabeths, and 2 Lilys and a Juliana. Thankfully DD is the only "Her Name", but it DEFINITELY fits the genre of these names! Lots of vowels!
ETA: Make that 3 Elizabeths!

I thought I'd mention the unexpected names that crop up locally. In my very small city, I know three Alden's (boy, not Aiden), three Bryce's (boy), two Van's (boy), and four Annabel's. I heard a local woman say her church had three Adelaide's in the nursery. At the kids' school (250 students), there were once two American girls named Asia and two immigrant girls named Princess (both in the same grade). At the school, boys with a name ending in -heim are also popular, like Jaheim (two) and Kyheim (two).

Just curious, how did you (the classroom teacher?) handle this? Were they Jack A., Jack B., Jack C., etc. using their last initial?

Jack or Jackson. I know several under 5.
I see a lot of C names for boys, though here in new England I have not met a Colt or a Cash (?!) More Conor, Casey, Cameron, Chris.

My DDs class has 3 kids names Grace and they are Grace (last initial). So much so that they refer to themselves as Grace D and Grace M (not the actual initials!).

In my 5yo DD's preschool it's pretty much the same as you all have described, plus a few Mollys.
With babies I have noticed a couple of each of these: Ella, Riley, Avery, Elliott, Quinn. All are girls.
I'm in Ohio. The only girls names we have duplicated are Madi (we know three, all variations on Madilyn, ages 4, 4, and 8) and Miley (both in JellyBean's preschool.) I think it's kind of funny that the Mileys are the only ones who have to use their last names, because I don't think anyone would have expected that to be the popular name.
But then we know two families with a Noah as their DS1 and a Benjamin as their DS2, and one boy named Noah Benjamin.
JellyBean also has Emma, Ella, Kyla, Kylie, Kellen, Cale, and Jackson in her preschool.
We know one Sophia (2) and one Grace (2). Ha's (birth to 2) class has Cuinn, Kayla, Anya, Annika, Molly, Wyatt and Carter.
The only Katelyn I know I met as a preschooler, but she's now in or even out of college!
