View Full Version : Graco Nautilus booster question

DS is 7 and about 48 inches and 48 pounds. He has a Nautilus and he is still in the 5 point harness. If I remember correctly the Nautilus converts to a booster seat. When should we move him to the booster? He isn't really complaining about the seat but I know none of his friends are still harnessed.
Also, Is the Nautilus a good booster seat or should we consider something else if we move him?

Picture of a girl with 'good belt fit', you want it to fit like that on your son... http://carseatblog.com/6840/graco-nautilus-elite-first-look-review/
And the manual how to switch it to booster mode :) http://download.gracobaby.com/ProductInstructionManuals/PD100876A.pdf
At that age and size he should be fine in it as a highback, maybe even a no-back booster, if he doesn't sleep in the car.

jools could you post the exact same for the frontier?
my ds will be 9 next month & is in his regent (!)...
I feel bad for him...so, ds2 will go in regent and ds1 will get his frontier as hbb...

My son just turned 6 and I switched his Nautilus to booster mode. Mostly because he was being a pain about his harness and I was tired of fighting it (unbuckling too soon, not buckling for the drive to the schoolbus, etc.) I've been booster training him for over a year, so I already know he uses it correctly.
