Spanish Grandpa nicknames?
My FIL is coming from Ecuador for Thanksgiving and I KNOW DS won't be able to say "abuelo." Is there an easy-to-pronounce grandpa nickname in spanish? I'd like to try to teach it to DS before my FIL arrives. DS already calls his other grandpa "poppa."
Thanks in advance!

DS calls my father "Bo" because he can't say Abeulo either.

You could use Lito for abuelito.

Anna isn't much older than Matthew and she pronounces Abuela like "abuula". She's been saying that for a while now and it kind of stuck.

Abuelo is "Huelo" (pronounced well-o) or "huelito" in our family.
Abuela is "Huela" or "Huelita".

I'm not Hispanic but Filipino and we refer to my dad as "lolo" and my mom as "lola".

Oh, my goodness thank you guys so much! I love all these ideas! I'll try them on my FIL and see what sticks!

Papa is another option. Although I don't know what your DS calls your DH. DD calls DH Papá or papa, so we couldn't use it for my dad. If he does not call your DH Papa, it is an easy one to learn!

Dh is Filipino and those are the names we use for his parents, too. I think they sound so sweet!
