Just like me!
I just had to share this:
I recently bought Temple Grandin's book "The Way I See It: A Personal Look at Autism and Asperger's"
DS found the book on the table and looked though it a little bit. Then he brought the book to me and said, "Temple Grandin Ph.D. has autism. Just like me! She wrote a book!" When I told him that she has written a lot of books and he got a big smile on his face.
I don't know if he heard about Dr. Grandin at one of the autism events we've attended, at school, or if he saw that in the book. But I am so happy for him to realize that people with autism can write books and do many other wonderful things.

How incredible for him to see that. He is lucky to have a mom who believes in him that way, too.

Wow, how exciting and inspirational!

She's awesome. What a good story.

Thank you for the touching post! to you and your sweet DS.

I just saw her movie last week. I have seen her in different interviews. She is such a positive example of what can be accomplished.

:love5: That is wonderful!
I just finished reading Animals in Translation last week. It was fascinating and very eye opening for me.

Awww. All teared up over here. :)

Oh that makes my heart smile. How wonderful for your DS to see that autism won't keep him from doing remarkable things!
