Very sad.
We also loved his appearance on Colbert.
I remember hearing his interview with Terri Gross on Fresh Air last year. Very sad. RIP.

Oh no! :(
Growing up my elementary school library had Pierre, Chicken Soup, Alligators All Around, and Really Rosie (my favorite) as audio recorded songs. To this day I can still sing them. Gosh I must have listened to those every single library visit for me to still know them 30+ yrs later. A few months ago I found the videos on Youtube and was showing them to DDs.
No! Ok, not taking this well. More of my childhood dying. There is no crying at work ... dammit!
I have the Nutshell Library, and have loved it into adulthood, we're talking at least 35 years I've had it. DS wanted it, and I haven't let him have it, they're only to be handled in their delicate state by Mommy. Last year I found a Nutshell Library fresh in its shrink wrap at BN, bought it for him immediately. It's one of his favorites. Sometimes he sleeps with it. To know that I passed that love on to him is amazing.
I was surprised the Obit didn't mention the collaboration with Carole King. One of my all time favorite children's records.
