limo expense
Hello!
I was wondering if anyone had a solution on how to cut costs for lioms. I live in the North Jersey area and refuse to pay more for limos (3hrs.) then for half of the other stuff involved in this planning. I've called funeral homes. Many don't rent in the area. Trolleys would be more than limos or just as much since we don't have any companies around N. Jersey.
Any suggestions?
Does anyone know SOMEONE who doesn't charge an arm and a leg?
We need transportation for approx. 20-24 people. I can't find anything lower than $1000.

RE: limo expense
I haven't checked into it yet myself, but I'm planning on renting a van from a regular car rental company and asking my matron of honor's father in law to be the driver (for a fee, of course). There is a company around here (Minneapolis) that rents unusual and vintge cars on a daily basis. Consider renting a couple plain late model vans that carry 8-10 passengers, and then something nice for yourself. Ask your best man to drive you (he'll be going every where you are anyway, right?), and hire someone else to drive the other 2. If you rent them for the weekend, you can use them to get out of towners back and forth to the airport as well.

RE: limo expense
You may want to contact car clubs where owners get together and join a club i.e. Corvette Club. When I was looking for cars to escort the grand marshall and VIP guests in local parades, the owners were more than happy to drive the guests.

RE: limo expense
If you don't mind having several cars to transport
your wedding party renting a car like a Lincoln Town Car
is an option.
For my friends wedding we rented a white Lincoln Town
Car for 1 day for $100 (and that was including insurance).
I believe it can seat up to 6.
Best Wishes
