Cups / tumblers beyond the sippy cup stage?
I feel silly asking, but I need to be pointed toward some cups without sippy tops. Just normal kids' cups made with safe plastics. Blush.

RE: Cups / tumblers beyond the sippy cup stage?
We've been using a lot of those colorful plastic cups meant for outdoor patio dining. Especially now, I bet you could get a lot for only a little $. They've been working out great because they don't break, they're lightweight, dishwasher safe and yet they're really colorful so DD likes them.
For example, in our cabinets right now are a set from Ikea (multiple colors, 8 cups for like $2), and a set from Target ("mah-genta" her favorite color, 4 cups for $1.50 I think). We've tried to stay away from melamine because we've had bad experiences with them cracking but I have lots of friends who go that route - especially if you want the licensed characters.
In terms of safety, I've been told to avoid polycarbonate and PVC and especially don't heat anything in a plastic container. I know there's been controversy about whether plastics really are safe and which ones but I have to admit I haven't kept up on it so hopefully someone else will chime in.
HTH!

We've got little some little enamelware mugs (Sweet Tulip) that are very nice-good size, safe, keep drinks cool, etc. and a bunch of the plastic ikea cups

These from Ikea are the favs at our house. I'm not well versed in the plastic thing but I got these because I read on here somewhere that they were a safer plastic. 6 for $1.49...can't beat that.

RE: Cups / tumblers beyond the sippy cup stage?
i was thinking of getting these for charlie
http://www.munchkin.com/products/detail.php?pID=88
ok, it won't let me post the picture...but they are lid-less
charlie likes his stuff ice cold, so i thought that this would be a TON easier than giving him an open cup and ice.
we also use the tupperware 11oz tumblers with the drip-less straw seals (the set of green tumblers in the picture), these are AWESOME!! and you can use just reg straws, instead of getting a ton of those sippy/straw cups. i use these at home and then the munchkin straw cups when out & about :)

How about the old-fashioned tupperware ones? My dd loves those. I still put the lid on top, but it is just two open holes so the liquid flows easily but not everywhere if there happens to be a spill.
RE: Cups / tumblers beyond the sippy cup stage?
I have some by The First Years which I've gotten at Target and Walmart. I think BRU sells some by Sassy and some other brands as well.

Ooh these look so pretty (I'm a sucker for bright rainbow colored things!) - must add them to the list for the next Ikea stop! Thanks for posting. Good price, too!

Seriously, I just went through the same thing! We had the Tupperware ones growing up and I've been going CRAZY trying to find a small, plastic cup that doesn't have a top screwed on!
We came across the ones at Ikea and bought those as well. Haven't tried them yet, but glad to hear they're popular. I was going to try the Tupperware website, but hadn't looked yet.
RE: Cups / tumblers beyond the sippy cup stage?
That's it! That's what we have. I tried looking on the ikea site for the number of cups and the price but I couldn't find them - you're good! DD loves these and we love the price.
