Success! I found a sunscreen that doesn't leave white residue!

Thanks to everyone who replied to my earlier thread. I bought the All Terrain Kidsport Natural 30spf SPRAY (:cheerleader1:) and tried it on DDs today. It left no white residue at all! It was reasonably priced, scored a 3 from EWG with a "low" in health concerns, and was recommended on the safe mama blog that someone posted in the thread. The only drawback is I've never seen it in stores. But, winner, winner, we have a winner!!! I really appreciate all of your advice. :D

I had never heard of it either someone recommended it in my earlier post (I have to go back and see who it was). Here's the link to the EWG page

The active ingredient is zinc oxide, it's a physical not chemical sunblock.

These aren't the ingredients on the one I got. I think it was reformulated this year, there are no parabens. That was a big concern of mine. All of the ones safemama.com recommends are paraben free.

I ordered the same one from Amazon the other day for DS1 to use at summer camp.

The one I ordered didn't have parabens or vitamin A (those are big no no's on my list).

I think that is the bug spray..it doesn't look like they have the sunscreen.

Medco does have an All Terrain combined bug lotion (not a spray) with SPF 15, which I ordered to try. I hope it goes on as well as the pure sunscreen spray.

I think I used their lotion on the kids last year, but we'll see how the spray works.
It looks like REI sells this brand (lotion) as well.

Thanks! And thanks to the OP. I ordered two bottles and can't wait to try them. I've been happy w/the vanicream, but a spray is just so much easier to apply to kids.

Costco has it too and for a great price IMO!

There is some of the Aqua Sport Spray available here too, I am definitely going to be ordering some from Costco though because I used some Coppertone Baby spray on DD2 yesterday and the spray is way easier for everywhere but the face.

has anyone checked to see if Whole foods carries it?? Though I guess the nice thing about costco is you can still return it to the store if you don't like it?

Yes, I checked at my local WF a few days ago, and could only find the bug spray. I ended up purchasing the baby version of the Badgers sunscreen. By the way, it's on sale there at WF for $11.99, but I'm not sure how long the sale is supposed to last.

Ok, I bought this awhile ago from amazon and just received it today. For all of the moms who already got this, was the bottle full when you received it? Mine is almost half empty!! I don't REALLY want to pour it out to measure it, so I wanted to check with other moms first. Am I missing half of my sunscreen, or does the 3 oz just not fill the bottle totally?

Mine was half empty too. I was all worked up and then I got another bottle and it was the same thing.
SO maybe it's just that 3oz. fills up only part of the bottle. Either that or they are ripping us all off!

Yeah, mine seemed kind of empty too. My DD got BURNED with this stuff on this week and has never had a burn before with the other physical sunblocks we have used so I don't think I will be using the spray again.

I'm glad to hear it! I wasn't looking forward to contesting it with Amazon.

We're going to try it out tomorrow, hopefully it will work for us until my Purple Prairie order arrives.
