If you like Vera Bradley bags and you can sew...
I love the look of Vera Bradley bags, but wince at the cost. I was in Walmart today looking thru the fabric and the have a project of quilted panels to make a Vera Bradley copy-cat bag! It is about the size of a diaper bag or tote bag, and comes with pattern pieces for a cell phone case and cosmetic pouch. It was $11.75 for the panel. The patterns come in red or black with the signature paisley type pattern. The only thing is, you would have to put on your own zipper, because the bag is meant to be open on top. Enjoy!

Amy,
I'd love to see a pic, too, if possible!

Another option I've run across in my lengthy diaper bag quest are some Vera Bradley-style knockoffs on www.ebags.com. Do a search for "Crazy Quilts" if the link doesn't work.

I thought they had some really nice patterns, and they're in the $20 - $40 range!
HTH!

I am a Vera fanatic. I have found VB fabric up for bid on Ebay frequently, new and retired patterns. :)

I bought the panels in both red and black print (at $11.75 a panel that's a steal!). I will have to borrow my Dad's digital camera and post some photos for you. If Josh cooperates, maybe I can sew it up and post photos of the finished product as well.
