My frontrunners:
Genevieve
Leah
Jocelyn (which DH doesn't like at all)
Alexandra
Julianna
Our last name is a single syllable name that starts with S, that is Dutch.
Some of DH's other offerings:
Fiona (I think of shrek and the mom in the Thornbirds)
Beatrix (I think of the nickname Trixie, which is what my grandparents named their dog)
On the plus side, we do agree with Marie as a middle name!

I like Charlotte. It was an also-ran for us (we had a boy).
What about Isabella, and call her Belle, not Bella.
Eden? Loooove that name.
Elizabeth, and call her ... Elizabeth?
Alexandra, call her Alex or Lex or Lexie
Samantha, call her Sam or Sami

Audrey was my favorite name post DD1 (before I joined a moms group), and Abigail was DH's favorite name; too bad we both knew two Audreys and two Abigails (all four kids are between the age of 3/1/2, and 4 now).
Charlotte (although in my area it is very popular)
Miranda
Violet (DH nixed this one)

DH loved Victoria, but I didn't care for the nick name of Vicki/y, and I wasn't sure I wanted the nick name of Tori.
-
I'm partial to Evelyn :wink2: but it is climbing in popularity.
When I first read your post, my first thought was Claire but I don't of any nicknames for Claire. I also like Josephine, Katelyn, Julianne, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Victoria.

DS #1 has a classmate named "Annalena" which is pretty and a bit unusual.
