Default How does mini boden sizing run?

I have a couple of things in my cart for DS. He is between the 2-3 and 3-4 size. I would rather get the bigger size so he can wear it longer but will he be swimming in it? I just tried Hanna 100's - those are WAY too long but the 90's are too short...

    TIA!

I would go with the 3-4. My daughter is the same, and I ordered a few 2-3 things and a few 3-4 things, and I ended up exchanging the 2-3 for 3-4. The 3-4 is slightly big on her, not huge. The pants barely skim the floor when she has shoes on, and the sleeves on shirts are only slightly long. Plus, a lot of their pants have a drawstring waist, which is great.

I would do the 3-4 as well. I ordered dd lots of 2-3 tops and they have no room to grow. So I'm going to exchange them for 3-4. Pants we always size down and I've found MB pants don't work as they are cut too lean for my DD.

I say 3-4 also. My dd wears a 100 and she is in 3-4 and 5-6.

It depends on the item. For the most part the boys stuff runs larger than the girls. I found MB to be all over the place, though. My dd needs a 5-6 in some items, while some 13-14's from the summer line were too small on her. She mostly wears MB 9-10's at almost 7 y.o. My ds wears either 3-4's or 5-6's. He's 43" tall and about 41 lbs. In general the sweatshirts run large. Some of the tees run close to a size larger than others. They list the garment measurements on their website -- that info is usually accurate, but not always. Plus MB shrinks more than other brands.

Which items in particular are you considering?

what items are you looking at?

charlie is 3yo, 30lbs & about 36.5". he fits in most 3T stuff, but can also fit 2T stuff still.

for my first boden order i ordered the hooded T's (camper & campfire) in 2-3 and they fit PERFECTLY, so i returned them for a 3-4 since boden's shrink a tiny bit...actually after washing & drying the shirts they didn't shrink much, but are perfect now...just have to cuff the sleeve once.

i ordered the washed sweatshirt (had "love it" on the front and a skateboard or bike) in 3-4 and it was HUGE!!! i'd possibly size down on this item.

the big T's with the guitar or drums on it runs a tad bigger than the hooded T but i still got a 3-4 in that too.

i got max the wolf applique T in a 12-18mo and it fits a tad too perfect too so i'm exchanging for an 18-24mo as soon as they send me a new invoice. i think the applique t's run a tad small, so you might want to size up on these.

charlie is a shorty, but i got the 3-4 flannel baggies for him and they are great, the waist fits good, it's just the length that's long. i rolled the waist once and it was a perfect fit! same with the 12-18 mo for max.

    i'm waiting on the:
    lined stripy hoody in 3-4
2 pairs of roll-up surf trousers in 3-4 (sale item)
a pair of the techno zip offs in a 2-3 (sale item) i got these in a 2-3 1) because they didn't have a 3-4 available 2) if you look at the waist band it's got a velcro "snap" and bungees to tighten the waist so it'll be much more difficult to roll the waistband if it's too big...i have 2 boys, if charlie only wears it for a little bit max's gets something fresher than the other stuff ;)

charlie really falls in the 2-3 sizing, but for the amt i'm paying i wanted the stuff to fit for a while and the 3-4 wasnt' too bad. right now their is link for 10% off and free shipping/returns, so if you size wrong at least you can exchange for free!

and...that's what everything looks like on. oh, i guess i don't have pics of the big T shirts (guitar & drums) but i'll try and take pics once these pants come in...hopefully today!

these pics will self-destruct in a few days!

Thank you so much for the pics - so helpful! DS is 37" and 32 lbs. So, I hope that the shirts fit okay in the 3-4. I got the shirt with the pick up truck on it and the shirt with the airplane. But those hooded shirts are adorable - now I'm thinking about adding on :)

My DS is 36" & a skinny 27 lbs. The 2/3's fit with enough room for next year unless he hits a major growth spurt. He is small for his age though. I tried 3/4's and they looked silly big. But we adore the truck tee & the bicycle sweatshirt. The guitar & motorcycle tees are his favorites & the cord pants with the tie waist are GREAT!
